There are moments in life, many moments, when I realize just how ill-equipped I am to handle difficult situations. And I’m not talking about knowing enough information, how to communicate with the appropriate people, or make the right decision. I’m talking about what happens when my blood pressure rises because my anxiety kicks into gear. I’m talking about pride mixing with frustration when something doesn’t meet my approval. I’m talking about quick, unchecked words. I’m talking about how slowly love and kindness arrive to soften my heart.

And all I can say is, “Dear God, I have not sat at Your feet long enough for Your light to transform my life.” And it’s my fault. May I feel the discomfort of the disconnect enough to make change. Because the next time the challenge arises, I want to meet it with grace.

With strength.

With love.

With wisdom.

With a steady heart and voice.

Teach me to sit at Your feet. Teach me to pray. Teach me to love. Teach me.

After breakfast at Magnolia Table, we stopped at the new Magnolia Press Coffee Co. for a mini work date. Of course I had to pack the same way I do when I go to a coffee shop for a work session - with all the stuff I can jam into my backpack 😆.

This time I brought some of my quiet time stuff to finish setting up. I am so excited to use the 2020 Yearly Prayer Journal from @valmariepaper & the Growth Notes Book from @growthrootsco. If you’re still looking for resources for your prayer and Bible study life, I highly recommend both of these!
