Every Blessing | March Scripture Writing Plan

March is in a few days and I’m really looking forward to our new scripture writing plan! Another big thanks to my friend Ladelia for putting the scriptures together for us! She’s done a great job with our scripture writing plans this year, and I’m truly grateful :).

The theme for this scripture writing plan is all about stewardship.

Biblical stewardship can be defined as “Utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation.” Another way to say it is to the responsibility of the believer to manage every gift and resource they have in a way that honors and pleases God and makes a difference for eternity. The concept of biblical stewardship is fundamental to Christian belief and practice and is something that God taught Adam and Eve right in the garden of Eden.

In Genesis chapter 1, God created mankind in His image and gave them dominion over all the rest of creation.

God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.”

Genesis 1:28 CSB

The Lord God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it.

Genesis 2:15 CSB

The command to take care of the resources God gives is one way a Christian practices their faith. Out of love for our Creator and gratitude for the saving grace of Jesus, we should want to take care of what He places in our hands. And while stewardship is often connected to money, it’s not limited to just finances. We are called to be good stewards everything we have –

  1. time
  2. possessions
  3. relationships
  4. talents
  5. influence.

The way we handle our resources, abilities and opportunities testifies to our belief God as Creator, Provider, and Sustainer of everything. It testifies to whether we think God’s overwhelmingly generous gift to us should affect how we live our everyday lives. As the Creator of the universe, God is the owner of everything. We cannot bear claim to anything we have, we can only manage it. What we have, no matter how much or how little, is His gift to us. How we manage what we have is our gift back to Him.

Because I think stewardship starts with acknowledging that God is the giver of every good gift, I’ve titled the theme Every Blessing. My prayer is that as you write this month’s verses that you will be blessed as you consider God’s blessings and your response with how you live your life. I also have another great playlist on Spotify! I have to admit, I was a little concerned about trying to put together a playlist about stewardship, I wasn’t sure if I’d find much music. But as of right now, I’ve got over 4 hours of great songs to listen to this month as we consider this theme. As with all of my CLUB 119 playlists, I continue to add songs as I find them so who knows what I might come across in the future to add to this playlist!

I hope you enjoy this collection of music!

If you missed January or February’s scripture writing plans, no worries! You can still do them whenever you want!
