So let me tell you something about God's timing. This book has been on my TBR all year (I actually started it last year 🤪), decided to include it in my fall reading list and finally picked it up this morning. I've been reading it this afternoon and when I tell you these are the exact right words I needed to hear today, this week, this season 🤯. Idk why I waited so long to sit down and read this book but that's how it is with books sometimes - you're not always quite ready for the message. God knew I needed this book right now ❤.

I struggle on a daily basis with anxiety, self-doubt, negative self talk, & frustration at my failures. At the beginning of every month I set out to do better and it seems like at the close of every month, I'm fixated on what I didn't do or how poorly I performed.
.
I can't be the only one.
.
But here's the thing - at least I'm trying. At least I feel the discomfort enough to try. I never want to get to a point when I stop trying. I never want to look in the mirror and think "Welp, whatever, this is as good as it gets." I want to keep pushing, making decisions, choosing the things that make me grow and mature - I don't want to stay where I'm at. I owe God better than that.
.
September is coming to a close. I did some things, didn't do some other things. And that's okay. October is another month to give another go.
.
And if I ever do I stop trying, Imma need y'all to come for me 😉🤪
