Wishing that Texas had actual autumn and that the temperature would drop just a bit already. I don’t even need cold. High 60’s would be fantastic!!! I bought an apricot cider candle yesterday (and oh my goodness it smells soooooo good!) and it just further fuels my dreams of cozy sweaters, scarves, boots, hot cocoa and cider, thick books, brightly colored leaves and fresh, crisp air through my windows. Ugh! It’s in the fall when I miss the midwest the most! And the spring. And the winter around Christmas time. And the summer that lasts forever. Let’s just say that the weather has never been my favorite thing about Texas.

Listening to Restless by Audrey Assad at this exact moment. I love her voice. Listening to her is very much an emotional experience. I wish my voice had the same ethereal quality.

Oh, speak now for my soul is listening
Say that You have saved me, whisper in the dark, the dark.
‘Cause I know You’re more than my salvation
Without you I am hopeless, tell me who You are
You are the keeper of my heart
You are the keeper of my heart

Loving The HopeWriters Podcast. I started listening to it the other day and have worked my way through to the second season already. It’s really fun and real and inspirational and challenging. Current favorite podcast!!

Feeling really great about the fact that I’ve gotten my butt out of bed every morning this week and walked a couple miles in the park. I hope to turn brisk walking into a good long jog but taking my time and letting my body do its thing in its own time.

The challenge has been getting to walk with my husband. His schedule is such that we’d have to wake up real early to get a walk in before he leaves for work. If I were him, I’d choose sleep too lol! But! We both know working out has got to be more of a priority. The poundage is creeping up on both of us ><.

Looking forward to next month! I’m prepping for Write 31 Days in October. I gave it a go in 2015, didn’t finish it, and then completely skipped over it last year. This year I’m giving it another whirl and this time I’ve actually got the whole month planned out.

Exploring Tumblr again. Ever since I got on Pinterest years ago, I dropped Tumblr because Pinterest was literally the solution to the problems I had with Tumblr (trying to find previous posts is impossible since you can’t organize anything!). But I opened it up again today and started browsing accounts. I think I’m going to keep around and continue to explore it for another place of inspiration!
