Three months in and my husband and I FINALLY finished a book! Yay! This is a bit belated but without further ado, it’s time to review March!

Last month, the theme was HEALTHY LIVING and the theme word was NURTURE. The book that we read was Brain Maker by David Perlmutter, MD., which we listened to on Audible and thoroughly enjoyed! We were also to have done a 14-day boot camp to focus on healthy lifestyle changes.
I’m a bit behind because the hubby and I hadn’t taken time to review the month until just the other evening. SO! Let’s do discussion questions!
What did you learn from the book?
STEVEN: What going in your gut directly effects your brain. Certain foods promote gut health.
ME: I learned how much food effects your brain. I never considered how much gut health impacts mental health.
What changes do you want to make for your health?
STEVEN: I want to incorporate foods that have beneficial enzymes and bacteria.
ME: I want to be more cognizant of what I put in my body and make better choices than I have been.
If you had to grade yourself on how well you take care of yourself, what would you give yourself?
STEVEN: B. I don’t exercise as much as I should and I need to drink more water than I do.
ME: C+. I know I don’t exercise like I need to or drink as much water as I should. I also need to eat better and be better about getting good sleep.
Now, as far as our activity for the month, we pretty much bombed our bootcamp. We started off with good goals we were going to work on and had great intentions but failed pretty quickly. That just goes to show how much effort we really need to put into taking care of and nurturing our bodies.
I have to say that we have been much better at being intentional about our eating habits than we were when we were dating and that’s a huge plus! The month was definitely not a complete failure!
Now, time to settle into April’s reading!
